A British colonial P1876/95 .303 Martini-Enfield socket bayonet, these were converted at the Citadel arsenal Cairo, the sight bridge was removed rather than heightened and after conversion the blade still sits to the right side of the barrel when fitted rather than the British pattern on which the socket was adapted to make the blade sit under the barrel, the clean tri-angular blade is 545mm(21 1/2"), it is numbered at the ricasso and also has some Egyptian markings, blued steel socket with locking ring, the general condition is very good. NO SCABBARD.
