A Continental Chasspot type yataghan sword bayonet, circa 1870, the unusual blued steel blade is 570mm(22 1/2"), it has a small unidentified mark on the ricasso, ribbed brass grip, the spring catch is working, it is complete with it's steel scabbard which is numbered at the throat, it has some light speckling on the hilt steelwork with a nice un-touched age patina, the scabbard has some medium pitting overall, the general condition is very good.
