A German WW1 S98/05 nA saw-back removed Infantry 'butcher' knife bayonet, dated 1917, the blade is 365mm (14 1/4"), makers name at the forte is Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G.Oberndorf a.N, with crown over W with date mark for 1917 on the short spine, WA mark on the pommel, working spring catch, it is complete with it's original steel scabbard with matching makers name on the back near the throat, some light dings on the scabbard, and patches of age related patina, the general condition is very good.
